Chrislyn House is a 16-bed learning disability care home in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. We provide long-term residential care as well as short-stay respite care for adults with learning disabilities. Every resident has a personalised care plan, so they can build independence, confidence and everyday life skills.
In addition, we are rated Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our team works closely with families, social workers and local authority teams across Essex and the Tendring area. The home is just off the seafront, close to the town centre, the pier and the train station.

Chrislyn House is a learning disability care home that supports residents who face challenges with learning and daily tasks. Our skilled and compassionate support workers work closely with each resident. Together, they develop essential life skills and support overall wellbeing.

We have 16 rooms, with a mix of ensuite and standard rooms.
Respite care also helps to build a relationship between the individual, their carer and our staff. As a result, moving in feels easier if a permanent stay becomes necessary.
Our location
We are just off the seafront in Clacton-on-Sea, with easy access to the town centre and the pier.
The home is also easy to reach from the A12 and Clacton-on-Sea train station.
